Season's Creepings everyone!
You may be wondering why we haven't made our usual last date for Hexmas orders announcement this year - and honestly, with all the chaos surrounding this postal services right now, the truth is I don't want to make any guarantees and leave anyone disappointed.
Although Royal Mail have announced last dates for their various services, even armed with this information I don't feel confident enough to make any promises, especially given the disheartening scenes we've seen from some of the sorting hubs this past week. Some postal depots seems to be affected more badly than others, so some orders are still arriving in a reasonable time frame whereas others have been significantly impacted. I think the only thing we can say with any certainty is: there will be disruption and delays!
That said, I am doing everything I can to try and get your orders out to you in time for the big day.
I had already been upgrading December orders to 1st Class to try and mitigate any delays, however with the Royal Mail backlog worsening with each day of strike action I will now be upgrading every order to tracked 24 at no extra charge. Hopefully this will give your parcels the best possible chance of arriving in time for Hexmas, however unfortunately I can't offer any guarantees.
We also offer a special delivery option, which aims to get your order to you by 1PM the next working day after despatch - while there are also delays with this service at the moment, it does remain the best option for anything that is super urgent.
I have looked into offering alternative couriers, but every one of them have been impacted by the increased demand due to the strikes and some have even stopped delivering to certain postcodes, so this would only really shift the problem along rather than provide a solution.
MoonBloom will remain open over the holidays and I will be making/packing/shipping orders every day that I am able.
