Tell us a bit about your small biz
I create spooky themed wax melts inspired by film, television, and other pop culture. I began making home fragrances in November of 2021 as a self-care activity for my own mental health. It has been an amazing year in the world of a small business that has allowed me to interact with so many others with similar interests in all these horror and spooky things.
What’s the story behind your business name?
"Haunted" came from my love of these spooky, and "Delights" from my original concept of making dessert-like melts. When I originally got into making melts, my idea was to make dark and gothic inspired fragrances but in food and/or dessert molds. I really love sweet fragrances and was inspired by all the cute TikTok dessert wax melts. However, I quickly learned I dislike using silicone molds, and wax that looks like food is not only illegal in some countries but I had individuals at events think they were edibles. Yikes. So I changed my approach but kept the name.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start up their own small business?
Do not forget to take breaks! We all need it.
